Calling all adventurous boys in grades 1 through 5! We hope you were able to attend our Round Up Night on Monday with horseback riding and a petting zoo (a huge thank you to the Boy Scout Troop 646 for organizing), but if you missed it, there are plenty more fun activities coming up. We have a fun filled schedule planned for our scouts this year including camping, fishing, service projects, building and racing pinewood derby cars and raingutter regatta boats, learning about robotics, and improving your outdoorsman skills.
We are hosting our annual Welcome (Back) Campfire at 6:30 pm this Friday (9/18) at the Arena at the Guyasuta Scout Camp in Sharpsburg (basically just over the Highland Park Bridge)!
This is a family outing, so siblings and parents are welcome. Games are planned and some of the scouts will participate in building a fire over which the hot dogs will be warmed. If you have other commitments and need to come late, that's fine--we'll stick around until 8:30 or 9.
For purposes of buying enough food, please RSVP and let us know if you have any dietary requirements. The food is listed below; however, if you have a preference for vegetarian, please let me know.
Boys do not need to wear uniforms since they'll be playing in the dirt. We do encourage you to bring a flashlight.
When you come in, you can park in the main parking lot at you enter and then walk along the main road until you see Pack 646--about 1/8 mile.
FOOD
Round one: Weiners (precooked) warmed over a fire and placed in buns with condiments of choice.
Round two: large marshmallows, Hershey milk chocolate candy bars without nuts, graham crackers for smores.
Our full schedule as of 9/15/15 is here. To stay up to date with the latest schedule, please join our email list by contacting Mary and Darrell at cubmaster646@gmail.com.
